"The set is imaginative, with panels that close and become the entrance to the candy factory from a perspective of looking up at giant doors.Lights, movement and simple props create magical moments, from Wonka's boat to the glass elevator. Strings of twinkling lights and brightly colored pipes give Wonka's factory a candy-colored feel...Also effective is the bed in the opening scene, which manages to effectively hold two sets of grandparents."
